What is the Vocational SSC GPA Calculator?

BTEB Vocational SSC students: stop using generic SSC calculators that get your trade subjects wrong. This free Vocational SSC GPA calculator knows all 10 major BTEB trades — Electrical, Mechanics, Civil, Farm Machinery, Automotive, Computer & IT, Dress Making, Food, Refrigeration & AC, and Welding — and loads the right Trade-1, Trade-2, and drawing subjects automatically.

Every rule BTEB applies to the official marksheet is built in: 4th subject bonus, single-F fail rule, 5.00 scale. Enter your grades or marks, and get an exact GPA that matches your printed result — under 10 seconds, zero sign-ups, zero data leaks.

Whether you're verifying your marksheet, planning polytechnic admission, or filling scholarship applications, this is the only BTEB-specific tool you need.

How the Vocational SSC GPA Calculator Works

Step 1 — Select Your Trade: Pick from ten common BTEB trades. The calculator instantly shows the trade-specific Trade-1, Trade-2, drawing, and computer subjects you sat for.
Step 2 — Enter Grades or Marks: Use either letter grades (A+/A/A-/B/C/D) or raw marks (0–100). The tool converts marks → grade points automatically using the BTEB scale.
Step 3 — 4th Subject Rule: The last trade subject is treated as the 4th. Only grade points above 2.00 add to your total as a bonus.
Step 4 — Pass Check: If any mandatory subject is below 1.00 (F grade), the final GPA drops to 0.00 — matching the BTEB rule.
Step 5 — Instant Result: Your GPA, letter grade, subject-wise breakdown, and Golden A+ status display in real time.

Vocational SSC GPA Formula

BTEB uses the same GPA formula as the general SSC with trade-specific subject swaps:

Vocational SSC GPA = (Sum of Mandatory Grade Points + 4th Subject Bonus) / Number of Mandatory Subjects

Where:

  • Mandatory subjects = 8 compulsory (Bangla, English, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Phys. Ed, Religion, BGS) + first 3 trade subjects (Trade-1, Trade-2, Engineering Drawing or equivalent).
  • 4th Subject Bonus = max(0, 4th trade subject GP − 2.00).
  • An F grade (points < 1.00) in any mandatory subject forces the final GPA to 0.00.
Real-World Example

Calculation In Practice

Worked example — Electrical Works trade student:

  • 8 compulsory subjects average: GP 4.50 total points 36
  • Trade-1 (Electrical): A+ (5.00)
  • Trade-2 (Electrical): A (4.00)
  • Engineering Drawing: A+ (5.00)
  • Computer Operation (4th): A+ (5.00) → bonus = 5.00 − 2.00 = 3.00

Mandatory total = 36 + 5 + 4 + 5 = 50 across 11 subjects. GPA = (50 + 3.00) / 11 = 4.82 → A letter grade.

  • B → 3.00 (50–59)
  • C → 2.00 (40–49)
  • D → 1.00 (33–39)
  • F → 0.00 (0–32)

Supported Trades: General Electrical Works, General Mechanics, Civil Construction, Farm Machinery, Automotive, Computer & IT, Dress Making, Food Processing & Preservation, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning, Welding & Fabrication.

Compulsory Subjects (all trades): Bangla, English, General Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Physical Education & Health, Religion & Moral Education, Bangladesh and Global Studies.

Key Takeaways

The BTEB Vocational SSC uses the same 5.00 scale as the general SSC, but replaces standard group subjects with trade-specific modules. The 4th subject bonus, pass/fail rules, and letter grade mapping all work identically to the general board — only the subject list differs.

This tool handles all ten major trades with their correct subject structure so you always get a GPA that matches the official BTEB result. All computation is local — your data never leaves the browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Vocational SSC GPA Calculator?
A free tool that calculates your SSC GPA under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) for vocational trades like Electrical, Mechanics, Civil, Automotive, and more — on the 5.00 scale.
Which BTEB trades are supported?
Ten major trades: Electrical, Mechanics, Civil Construction, Farm Machinery, Automotive, Computer & IT, Dress Making, Food Processing, Refrigeration & AC, and Welding & Fabrication.
How is BTEB SSC GPA different from general SSC?
Both use the 5.00 scale and the 4th subject bonus rule, but BTEB includes trade-specific subjects like Trade-1, Trade-2, and Engineering Drawing instead of general group subjects like Higher Math or Biology.
Does failing one subject still drop my GPA to 0?
Yes. An F in any mandatory subject makes the final GPA 0.00 — identical to the general SSC fail rule.
Can I input marks instead of letter grades?
Yes. Switch to Marks mode and enter 0–100 for each subject. The tool auto-converts marks to grade points using the BTEB scale (80+ = A+, 70–79 = A, etc.).
Is this calculator accurate for the 2026 BTEB curriculum?
Yes. We verify subject lists and grading rules against the most recent BTEB-published regulations and update whenever the board changes structure.
Can I use this for HSC BM/Vocational?
No — this tool is specifically for SSC-level BTEB vocational. For HSC Business Management and HSC Vocational, use our HSC BM/Vocational Calculator instead.
What is the 4th subject in my trade?
For most BTEB trades the 4th subject is Computer Operation or a drawing equivalent. The tool auto-marks the last trade subject as your 4th subject, and you can switch trades to see how it changes.
Do Trade-1 and Trade-2 count separately?
Yes. Unlike Bangla/English which are paired and averaged, Trade-1 and Trade-2 are counted as two separate mandatory subjects, each contributing its own grade point.
Is this free and does it save my data?
100% free, no sign-up required, and nothing leaves your browser. Your grades are processed locally and never stored or transmitted to any server.
